Nether released a new update, giving its Steam Early Access supporters some much-anticipated content that will have a major impact on the way the game plays.

Nether is an urban survival MMO developed by Phosphor Games Studio, and the team has been actively involved with the community, feedback from players taking part in the early access beta test now translating into in-game features.

The main additions are a new tool to navigate the game’s open world, a winged glider, and the peril-ridden subway system of the decrepit city to explore, as well as a new tank-like enemy.

The glider will allow players to climb on top of buildings, spot a target in the distance and glide toward it, reaching it in a much more timely fashion and avoiding all the pesky baddies out there.

They are also warned that they cannot shoot their weapons while gliding, so they have to be careful who they pass on their way.

Other smaller changes also included in the update are a flashlight, a compass, a flare and a grenade, along with Surge, a new mini-boss event.
