The Netgear R6200 was one of two wireless routers formally introduced by Netgear about two months ago.

It wasn't even the star of the show back then, but it is getting some spotlight now, courtesy of the Federal Communications Commission.

The FCC didn't reveal the exact launch date (sometime in the third quarter is all we have to go on for now), but it did, at the very least, confirm that it was only a matter of time.

For those who need a reminder, the item is a dual-band router with 1,200 Mbps maximum throughput. That's 300 Mbps over the 2.4 GHz 802.11n band and 900 Mbps over 5 Ghz 802.11ac.

The FCC filing can be perused here. Other than radiation levels though, it doesn't include much information of interest to the common man.
