has just been upgraded in the Android Market to offer support for the just launched Galaxy Nexus smartphone on the airwaves of Verizon Wireless, namely Netflix.

The latest flavor of the mobile software, version 1.6.0, is now available for download via the Android Market with support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Additionally, the new app release provides users with a series of bug fixes, its changelog unveils.

Netflix for Android enables users of devices running under the 2.2 and newer flavors of the mobile platform with the possibility to access TV shows & movies streaming from Netflix.

The Netflix application is available for free, but the service associated with it requires a subscription. The service is available on a variety of other devices and platforms, including TVs and computers.
