Netflix is taking a very smart tip from HBO and is going into producing and distributing original content as well. “Lilyhammer” is the network's first series – and a trailer for it has just been released.

“Lilyhammer” tells the story of a mobster who rats on his own boss and goes into the witness protection program, understandably fearing for his life.

He asks to be sent to Lillehammer in Norway, which hosted the 1994 Winter Olympics. He believes “Lilyhammer,” as he calls it, is a paradise of “clean air, fresh white snow and gorgeous broads.”

Obviously, things aren't like that in real life so our leading mobster will have to adjust to the new conditions.

“Lilyhammer” sees the return of “Sopranos” veteran Steven Van Zandt as Frank “The Fixer” Tagliano, the mobster in question.

The new series premieres on February 6, 2012 and, by the looks of the trailer, it's bound to be a crazy and entertaining ride.
