This thing is an entry-level laptop in all but name, apparently

There is a new laptop that people may stumble upon if they should be searching through the offers on the Internet, one that Netbook navigator created.

The idea of a hybrid device is more or less perfectly represented by the Nav13X mobile personal computers.

Even though netbooks and ultrabooks are supposed to be two completely different cups of tea, the new item from Netbook Navigator is both at the same time.

The name of the company alone should be enough to suggest what kind of product we are talking about here.

Nevertheless, even though the hardware is, more or less, netbook-like, the outer design is not.

Instead, this thing has not only a larger screen size than the usual 10.1 inches, but also a native resolution normally reserved for entertainment notebooks.

That is to say, the Nav13X has a diagonal of 13 inches and an LCD with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (HD).

The CPU handling all of the information is the Intel Atom N2800, not a chip from the Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 series (as ultrabooks are wont to use). Meanwhile, the memory capacity is of 2 or 4 GB.

Additionally, there is a solid state drive available, with 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of storage space, depending on buyer choice. Other specs include mini-HDMI, an SD card slot and two USB 2.0 ports.

The starting price is an apparently reasonable $499 (376.57 Euro), but then you get to the part where there is no operating system and only 32GB of SSD storage. Choosing a 128 GB SSD takes the tag all the way up to $899 (678.43 Euro), which makes regular ultrabooks more convenient, since their prices are comparable but the performance level is clearly one or two notches above this one.
