Kontainer, a nested Window manager that can be used to arrange clients vertically, horizontally, or on a predetermined grid, is now at version 0.3.
Kontainer 0.3 is promoted as a Window manager, but it's not supposed to take the role of one. It acts more as a sidekick for other Window managers. Keep in mind that this is built for the KDE desktop environment.
Highlights of Kontainer 0.3:
• The QApplication API invocation has been fixed; • Two apparently prominent tiling modes have been added; • A button that can be used to grab the active tile, when the window is deactivated, has been added; • QMainWindow is now used; • The applications now has a GPL licence.
A complete list of changes and improvements can be found in the official announcement.
Download Kontainer 0.3 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
