Nero has recently released a new product called Nero BackItUp & Burn that will offer even inexperienced users the possibility to burn, back up, restore and synchronize valuable data. Using this product, anyone can secure their files with the help of scheduled backups, then burn the information to discs and share it with friends; also, customers will be able to use the online storage for frequent backups, synchronize files and folders, as well as restore data from corrupted media. Moreover, the intuitive user interface, together with the accessible price tag, will enable users to easily control and protect their digital data.

“To date, the available solutions for backup, burning or recovery have been created with more technical users in mind,” believes Kurt Scherf, vice president and principal analyst with Parks Associates. “Consumers who have turned towards all-inclusive suite offerings are presented with an array of options, but the average user is not looking for a full digital toolset. Point products aren't guaranteed to work together. Non-technical users are looking for easy ways to solve immediate problems – how do I burn data to DVD or Blu-ray? How do I recover data that seems 'lost'? Is there a way to securely and automatically back up my important information?”

Nero BackItUp & Burn is a unique product on today's market when its features are taken into consideration: burning, backup, synchronization and recovery, all without any additional tools that nobody will use or the necessity to purchase any other applications. The developers of Nero BackItUp & Burn have designed it with the end-user in mind: not only does the software come with a small footprint, but its interface was created according to the feedback received through dedicated surveys and forums.

Since it was built on the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), the product will appeal to all those who use Microsoft Outlook on a regular basis due to the similar navigation style and ribbon menus. Nero's latest application provides customers with the possibility to accomplish the majority of its tasks within three steps only. Thus many of its functions will seem much simpler to complete than ever before. Some of the actions users will be able to perform are: back up data to numerous types of media (CDs and DVDs, Blu-ray discs, Ftp servers, USB memory sticks, as well as online storage), schedule these backups setting up email notifications, create and burn CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, synchronize or restore damaged data, and even boot from a retail CD whenever you need system recovery.

“Nero got its start in burning technology and has long been regarded as a leader in this area,” said Udo Eberlein, CEO, Nero AG. “The new Nero BackItUp & Burn product builds on both this leadership and the company's liquid media approach to digital content creation and distribution. We recognize that in our content-rich world, a new set of questions exist on making the most of and protecting users' valued photos, videos, music and data. Nero BackItUp & Burn gives an intuitive, non-technical solution for the backup, burning, synchronization and recovery of a consumer's digital media.”

Nero BackItUp & Burn can be purchased for $49.99 and can be evaluated free of charge for a short period of time, which includes a 1GB subscription to the Nero Online Backup Service.
