Only recently, Michael Harboe wished to travel with his Neapolitan Mastiff from Miami to San Francisco.

Due to the fact that people and animals must travel in different compartments, Michael got separated from his pet, and entrusted the animal with the staff working for United Airlines.

Unfortunately, when the plane landed in San Francisco, Michael was told that Bam Bam passed away at one point during the flight.

Further investigation revealed that the animal suffered a heart attack, most likely because of being exposed to very high temperatures.

United Airlines denies all accusations and claims that, “Our holding facilities are USDA animal welfare-approved and provide ample room and air ventilation, in addition to regular monitoring and watering provided by trained pet safe personnel.”

However, the dog's owner maintains that, according to an inside source, Bam Bam was simply put in a holding area equipped with nothing but a fan, rather than being placed in an air-conditioning room.
