Some people might remember the Neonode N1 touchscreen mobile phone, a Windows CE powered handset that came out on the market way before all the iPhones and Prada phones we are getting to see released now.

The N1 wasn't really a success on the market mainly because it was launched in December 2002 but it took years for it to actually start shipping. In May 2004 it was still not available for purchase.

Now that the iPhone and other touchscreen devices have been announced it is most likely that most mobile phone manufacturers will catch up on the trend, and since Neonode seems to have been ahead of them all by releasing a touchscreen phone in 2002 (even though it wasn't available) it's obvious that some people are very anxious to see what they come up with this time.

They have already announced the new phone which will be released on the 12th of February at 3GSM through a teaser according to which their chief product designer is expecting and the newborn will be making its first public appearance at 3GSM.

Of course, there's really no information on what the phone will feature or what it will look like but the teaser does manage to make you curious enough to want to find out more.

Let's just hope that the phone turns out to be just as nice and interesting as the teaser they came up with. The phone will be released, or should I say born, at the 3GSM event that is to take place between the 12th and the 15th of February in Barcelona.
