Touchscreen phones are the new hit when it comes to mobile communication. The iPhone craze also has a somewhat more affordable alternative. Neonode N2 brings evolved touchscreen performances just like the iPhone does, only with a bit more modesty, as it has received little mediatization.

True, it's not all about touchscreen functions. Other specifications for this handset also count and it looks like Neonode N2 does not surpass the iPhone with anything special. Still, this handset might have one excellent chance of attracting even more some mobile phone users, as it comes in extra small sizes.

This handset is also extra slim, at only 14.7 mm in size. Other sizes are also impressive, as Neonode N2 is 47 mm wide and 77 mm tall and weighs an impressive 70 grams. All these make it one of the most compact such phones and an excellent solution for those who need handsets of extremely reduced sizes.

Neonode N2 is only 3 inch tall, which means smaller sizes even than the iPhone's screen. Indeed, this clone's display might turn out to be too small, at it is only 2 inches in size, with a resolution of up to 176 x 220 pixels and 65k color display.

The 2 megapixel camera seems to be capable of performances similar to those coming from the iPhone. This is also capable of video playback and video recording in the most frequently used media formats.

The storage capacity will surely make a serious drawback when comparing this phone to the iPhone. Neonode N2 has a miniSD card included of unspecified capacity, which surely can not compete with that of Apple's phone. Moreover, its internet browsing performances are highly limited, as only GPRS technology is available for use.

From now on Neonode N2 will be available on the European market too. An estimated price that this handset will come at has not been specified yet.
