The people at NeoOffice.org are updating their Mac-exclusive productivity suite with a new patch that fixes some bugs, and improves versioning documents under OS X Lion.

The team says they’ve fixed several critical bugs, all of which are dealt with in the NeoOffice 3.2.1 Patch 1.

For example, opening certain .docx files caused NeoOffice to crash, while vertical Chinese text was shifted left and downward on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. The se errors have been corrected now.

Vertical fonts are drawn using zero glyph on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion on NeoOffice 3.2.1. Also, Asian fonts are not exported to PDF on Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. These two are also fixed.

Finally, NeoOffice 3.2.1 Patch 1 improves support for Lion's new Versions feature by adding the ability to view all pages of past versions of NeoOffice documents.
