NeoOffice 3.0 has just received an important maintenance update, fixing over half a dozen issues reported with the software. Patch 2 for NeoOffice 3.0 addresses problems with the incorrect layout when pasting hidden rows or columns from NeoOffice Calc into Microsoft Word 2004, and several hang and crash problems. Both NeoOffice 3.0 Patch 2 and NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 9 can be downloaded via our website.

The people at NeoOffice.org claim that the second patch for NeoOffice 3.0 should resolve issues with incorrect layout for users pasting hidden rows or columns from NeoOffice Calc into Microsoft Word 2004. The update also fixes a problem where the command key would be ignored when released at the same time as a mouse button. The rest of the changelog lists additional fixed issues, such as:

· Fixed a problem where PDF export of rotated text was distorted.
· Fixed a crash when copying table and saving to a .doc file.
· Fixed a hang when pasting text into Base SQL window.
· Fixed a hang when selecting a choice form control.
· Fixed a crash when opening a .doc file with certain form controls.
· Fixed a crash when dragging a Finder document over a NeoOffice window while the window is opening.
· Fixed crashes that could occur in certain cases when a NeoOffice was updating the system clipboard.

NeoOffice is based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, integrating native Mac features. The full-featured set of office applications boasts the ability to import, edit and exchange files with other office programs. Most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are supported, as well as Excel VBA Macros. The software requires that you have at least 512 MB of memory and 400 MB of free disk space.

NeoOffice 3.0 Patch 2 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 3.0 and will not install on any previous version of NeoOffice. The patch includes all fixes and additions of previous patches. Similarly, NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 9 can only be installed over an installed copy of NeoOffice 2.2.5.
