14 DAY TRIAL // Users of the NeoOffice suite can download and install the latest patch released to be able to use the Apple Remote for controlling presentations, as well as fix a couple of issues where the second opening of password-protected files failed and movies played only sound after the QuickTime 7.5 update.
The third patch for NeoOffice 2.2.4 comes a full month after the release of Patch 2, which fixed some issues where pressing Command-' set the focus to the wrong window, where the active cursor jumped to the floating toolbar when the cursor was moved to tables or lists and where the default Arabic font rendered incorrectly in Calc.
With the release of NeoOffice 2.2.4, the full-featured set of office applications developed especially for Mac OS X, which includes word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing and database programs, added native floating tool windows and magnify & swipe trackpad gestures for MacBook users. Horizontal scroll wheel support is also available with version 2.2.4 of NeoOffice. The first patch fixed an issue where clipping of background images failed when printing, a problem where Fontwork was missing or banded when printing, and possible crashes at startup or when editing a form in Base due to preferences corruption.
NeoOffice is based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, integrating native Mac features. The full-featured set of office applications boasts the ability to import, edit and exchange files with other office programs. Most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are supported, as well as Excel VBA Macros. The software requires that you have at least 512 MB of memory and 400 MB of free disk space. NeoOffice Patch 3 requires a full installation of NeoOffice 2.2.4 or NeoOffice 2.2.3 with NeoOffice 2.2.4 Patch 0 and will not install on any version of NeoOffice 2.2.2.
