Text mis-kerned when exporting to PDF? NeoOffice.org has delivered the fix

Just last week, NeoOffice users were able to update their full-featured office set of apps to version 2.2.3, which ads QuickTime video support, allows menu access when no documents are open, and image importing from scanners and cameras. This week, NeoOffice.org has issued the first patch for v2.2.3, fixing some exporting-to-PDF issues.

NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database programs) for Mac OS X. NeoOffice is based on the OpenOffice.org office suite. It integrates many native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other office programs, even Microsoft's.

As mentioned in the introduction, the first and latest patch to NeoOffice 2.2.3 fixes a problem where text was mis-kerned when exporting to PDF, but also this bug where the wrong accented glyphs were used when exporting to PDF. Click HERE to download and install the patch now. Note: You must have NeoOffice 2.2.3 or higher installed to be able to install this patch

Taking a closer look to what NeoOffice 2.2.3 can do for you, the office applications suite handles Most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Files, but also Excel VBA Macros. QuickTime video support (Mac OS X 10.4.x and higher only) should also be noted as a key feature with 2.2.3, while import images from scanners and cameras also come in handy, should you need to quickly add some sentiment to your school projects for example.

Last, but not least, NeoOffice also brings command-clicking on window titlebar and Mac OS X Leopard grammar checking support, with the latest release.

Again, if you plan on continuing to use Neo to export to PDF, you should download NeoOffice 2.2.3 Patch 1 right away. Be sure to check back in for future updates.
