More bug fixes from NeoOffice.org

Users of NeoOffice 2.2.3 can now download and install the fourth patch for this version of the free office app suite for Mac, the guys at NeoOffice.org say. While NeoOffice 2.2.3 Patch 4 isn't half as exciting as the latest additions, it does fix a number of exporting problems, as well as a nasty bug where images were cropped out when printing envelopes. Read on for more details on Patch 4 for NeoOffice 2.2.3.

NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database programs) for Mac OS X, based on the OpenOffice.org office suite. It integrates a bunch of native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other office programs, even Microsoft's.

The office applications suite handles most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Files, but also Excel VBA Macros. Neo 2.2.3 adds QuickTime video support (but only for Mac OS X 10.4.x and higher), with the ability to import images from scanners and cameras, for different kinds of projects. NeoOffice version 2.2.3 also brings command-clicking on window titlebar and Mac OS X Leopard grammar checking support.

At the time NeoOffce 2.2.3 Patch 2 was released, NeoOffice.org was announcing its plans to add Media Browser support in the next NeoOffice patch, which they did, with last week's release of NeoOffice 2.2.4 Patch 3.

With Patch 4 here, NeoOffice users (including myself) can now rely on using the Solver feature, as the developers have fixed certain crashes that might happen while using it; exporting PDFs with ease with no missing glyphs in equations; bug-less macro editing; printing envelopes without seeing your images cropped out.

The full version history is available HERE along with a big, red download button for the latest NeoOffice patch. Note that you must have NeoOffice 2.2.3 or higher installed to be able to install NeoOffce 2.2.3 Patch 4 (10.7 MB).
