NeoDigits has just launched 1080p-capable X3000 and X5000 HD network media players which are able to stream a wide range, including MPEG-1/2/4, DivX and DivX HD, XviD HD, WMV 9/HD, WMA, MP3, AAC, Ogg, JPEG, PNG, and BMP, informs Engadget.
As other recently released similar products from SnaZio and Aircord, NeoDigits’ X3000 and X5000 HD network media players feature an enhanced DVD drive capable of reading both DVD+R and DVD-R discs along with MP3 CDs.
Furthermore, NeoDigits included an advanced connectivity system via the Ethernet port or built-in 802.11g, which
enables the user to easily ‘attach’ the media player to a PC. But, what is innovative about this latest NeoDigits products is the fact that they can be connected to a home theatre system by using HDMI, DVI, component, S-video, or composite video outputs along with analog, optical, or digital coax audio jacks.
As you see, the features of X3000 and X5000 HD network media players are as enhanced as the recently launched Helios HVD2085 DVD player, as all of them have been developed to take to the limit, according to the manufacturer, the HDTV capabilities.
The two NeoDevice media players will compete with FusionSoft’s latest media player – the
Odd-i N700D, which has been already showcased at the famous CeBIT IT & C Fair in Hannover.
The Korean company included a SD card slot, but it is also possible for the user to have a 2.5-inch external hard drive disk and to utilize it instead of an internal one for all the users’ data such as movies, pictures and everything you can imagine. As there is a lack of information, due to the fact that the manufacturer has written the press release in Korean, we couldn’t discover what kind of audio formats does this little one support.
The N700D will support MPEG1, MPEG4 SP, XVID and Divx 3.x/4.x/5.x formats at a highest resolution of 720x480 pixels (max. 30 fps) and WMV7 (max resolution 320x240, 30fps), as well as WMV8/9 (320x240, 20fps).
The two NeoDigits media players will be available starting this month. The X3000 will be on sale at $400, while the X5000, which includes a few more functions, will be priced at $600.
