It seems that we're moving from an update-packed Wednesday to an update frenzy week. Mac owners using NeoOffice can now update their full-featured office set of apps to version 2.2.3. The latest version adds QuickTime video support, allowing menu access when no documents are open. Also, users can import images from scanners and cameras.

Those looking to pick up on NeoOffice should know that it is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, and database programs) for Mac OS X. NeoOffice is based on the OpenOffice.org office suite. It integrates many native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other office programs, even Microsoft's.

Looking deeper into what NeoOffice 2.2.3 can do for you, the key features list for this version says Neo handles Most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Files, but also Excel VBA Macros. Also, the previously minimal set of menu items available if no documents were open is history! With Neo Office 2.2.3 you can access your most frequently used menus (e.g.: Recent Documents and NeoOffice Help). A new menu has also been added: - Tools :: Add-ons :: Paste Image from Camera or Scanner.
