Riot Games confirms that fans can now find a brand new experimental game mode in the League of Legends Public Beta Environment, in the form of the Nemesis Draft, which allows the enemy team to pick champions for you to use in a match, and vice versa.

League of Legends has been around for quite a few years and has managed to win over the hearts and minds of millions of people from all over the world thanks to its free-to-play nature and the huge amount of characters.

Besides giving players access to all sorts of different game modes as standard, Riot also releases different experimental game types to the PBE (Public Beta Environment), where those willing to brave bugs and glitches can try them out.

Nemesis Draft gives you control over the enemy's team composition

The latest such experience is called Nemesis Draft, according to the official forums, and offers a pretty interesting twist on the regular drafting process.

The main focus is to allow the rival team to create your team of champions, while you do the same with their own composition.

The game mode features two teams of five players and takes place on Summoner's Rift. Each player chooses 1 champion for the enemy team but each team also gets three bans through which they can eliminate champions from the available pool.

In order to avoid grievances, there is a free trading period after all champions are locked in, allowing you to switch characters with other teammates. It doesn't matter if you own them or not, as you'll still be able to control them.

"We’re excited to see how scheming & creative you guys are," the studio says. "Are we about to uncover some diamonds in the rough? Will it be, 'Give them all melee champs!' or 'Give them all AD so we can just build armor!' And then the inevitable, 'Ok guys. We’ve got 4 junglers and a support.. but so do they! Let’s do this.'"

The Nemesis Draft mode is now live on the League of Legends PBE, and if it proves successful, it might appear in the game as a standard mode in the near future, at least for a limited time.
