Need for Speed: Underground Cheats and Secrets (Xbox)

Need for Speed Underground lets racers live out the fantasy of turning everyday cars into tricked-out racing machines. Either alone or with a friend, players race their customized cars through city streets and push their driving skills to the limit. Here are the tricks you can do while playing the game and some secrets for the die-hard fans:

Easy Style Points
Works best if you've unlocked drift track 6 and a 5 star rep., but go to quick race and set on 10 laps and drift to you heart's content. If you do good, you can get an easy 60-70,000 points and times 5 that's a lot of points; do it a couple times and you'll get everything you can.

All Sprint Tracks
At the main menu, press Up, Black, Black, Black, Right, Down, Down, Down to unlock all sprint tracks.

All Drag Tracks
At the main menu, press Right, X, Left, Right, X, Left, White, Black to unlock all drag tracks.

Easy Style Points
After you unlock the oval drift track, go into "Quick Race" and choose that track. Then, race around it using the handbrake to powerslide into the corners. Depending on how good you are, you will unlock rewards every time you fill your meter, which does not take too long. Also, go to quick race mode and choose any circuit. Set it to five laps with maximum cars on. Then, just get near misses in a row to get a large amount of points. Once your reputation goes up you can make 20,000 points in one go-around.

All Circuit Tracks
At the main menu, press Down, Right, Right Right, Black, Black, Black, X to unlock all circuit tracks.

Make Harder Races Easy
In the higher races for Need for Speed Underground they tend to get much harder as you upgrade the performance mods on your car; to make the races easier take all your engine performance mods off. You can leave the handling mods on; now when you race your opponents will be as easy as when you first started the game. The only track this doesn't work on is Tournaments.

All Drift Tracks
At the main menu, press Left, Left, Left, Left, Right, Black, Right, White.

Unlock Drift Physics in All Modes
At the main menu, press Right, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left.

Unlock Drift Physics
Unlock drift physics in all levels: Right Trigger, Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left Trigger.

More Racing Tips
Use rims that normally will not fit. Certain cars can only fit so big of a rim. For example, the Miata can only fit 17s, but if you get a car like the Skyline, put 20s on it and trade it in for the Miata. The Miata will now have the 20s that the Skyline had on it. Do not try to install any other rims on your new car because the rims will go back to the maximum size allowed.

Shoot Smoke from Nitrous
To make Nitrous shoot out smoke, put your car in neutral, or, at the beginning of the race, press Nitrous.

Shortcuts
Look for alternate routes on your in-game map while driving. These can get you ahead of an opponent easily or shave off seconds on your timer. They will look like another road on the map, but sometimes are narrower. Most of the time, these shortcuts will be hard to see or take, and can be extremely risky.
