Need for Speed: The Run Gets Italian Pack DLC Next Week, Reportedly

Need for Speed: The Run is set to get a fresh batch of downloadable content next week, at least according to a set of PlayStation 3 trophies and a video posted by Electronic Arts’ Russian branch.

Need for Speed: The Run impressed racing game fans last year when it was released by Electronic Arts and the Black Box studio. Since then, not a lot of care was given to the title, although things will change soon, as the two companies are now looking to enrich the racing experience with another piece of DLC, this time bringing some fresh supercars and challenges.

According to NFS Planet, The Run will get the Italian Pack next week, which includes a variety of stunning supercars from the European country, as well as an array of objectives for the game’s Challenge Series.

The DLC isn’t official, however, but a list of new trophies that were added to the PS3 edition of The Run point to the extra objectives, while EA’s Russian branch mistakenly posted a video about the DLC on its YouTube account.

The trailer shows off the seven new cars that are part of the DLC, including the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, the Pagani Zonda R, the Maserati MC12, the Lamborghini Diablo SV, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, the Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale, and the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione.

The PS3 trophies, which were added to the game by the latest patch, hint at some of the new races that will be a part of the Italian Challenges and Italy vs. The World events in The Run’s Challenge Series, so check them out below.
