The newest entry in the Need For Speed racing franchise, NFS Shift 2 Unleashed, has just received a few more details, including a release date and a new trailer detailing the special bonuses in the Limited Edition of the game.

Electronic Arts' Need for Speed franchise is in full swing, as after the highly successful Hot Pursuit title from Criterion Games, the company is getting ready to launch the more simulator-oriented Shift 2 Unleashed, coming from Slightly Mad Studios.

We've already heard about how it will take on more established racing simulators like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport, but now EA has released a few more details, including the release dates.

Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed will be coming to Europe first, on March 24 and 25, and then to North America, on March 29, this year.

The company has also released a new trailer for the video, detailing the pre-order bonuses included in the Limited Edition of Shift 2 Unleashed, as well as some of the overall features of the game.

In case you forgot, if you pre-order the game, you'll get the Limited Edition of Shift 2 Unleashed, which offers exclusive access to three great cars, the Nissan Silvia spec.R Aero (S15), the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, as well as 40 unique career events.

The Career Events will range from Single-Type ones, which requires just one type of car, to Old versus New challenges or Manufacturer Showdown, that amps up rivalries between different car brands.

All of these races will be chronicled by the Autolog online feature, as seen in last year's NFS: Hot Pursuit, and will allow players to compare their performance with friends over the web, as well as set up races over the Internet.

Shift 2 is a complete overhaul of the original game, complete with a new graphics engine, an innovative helmet camera system, night racing and other racing simulator systems, besides the trademark in-cockpit view.

NFS: Shift 2 Unleashed is heading to the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platform this March, but until then you can check out the new video below.
