Gamers will be able to play the role of a cop or a renegade racer

The development team working on Need for Speed: Rivals is delivering a new video linked to the coming racing game which is designed to show players the progression of the various pursuit tech upgrades that they will be able to unlock.

The new title is taking the long running franchise back to its roots and allows gamers to become either a renegade racer or a cop and use some of the most powerful cars in the world to rack up points and defeat their rivals.

Developers are also promising that the experience will have an improved social aspect that it will allow gamers to battle their friends.

Need for Speed: Rivals will be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, and the PC on November 19 in North America and on November 22 Europe.

Versions are also being prepared for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
