The upcoming Nintendo Wii U version of Need for Speed: Most Wanted has just received its first details as well as a release date, although only for Japan.

NFS: Most Wanted came out for the PC, PS3, PS Vita, and Xbox 360 last year and is currently getting ready to debut onto the Wii U platform.

Now, the first details about the Wii U adaptation of the racing game have surfaced, via a Japanese press release posted by Nintendo Everything.

According to the website, the game has complete support for the Wii U GamePad, meaning users can play the game on the controller's touchscreen even if they don't have a TV.

The game retains all of its features, including the online ones, and is set to appear in Japan on March 14.

As of yet, however, EA hasn't said anything about the game's launch in Europe or North America.
