A pre-order page for the upcoming Need for Speed: Most Wanted reboot developed by Criterion shows that the racing game will offer support for the Kinect motion tracking peripheral from Microsoft.

The pre-order image shows the covers for the three versions of the game, on the PC, the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, and the one for the Microsoft home console has the familiar purplish stripe that is a sign of support for Kinect.

Criterion has not talked about any motion tracking support for the racing game it is working on, but details might be offered in the coming months.

It’s also possible that the purple stripe is simply a mistake and publisher Electronic Arts will then move to squash the Kinect rumor.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is an open-world racing game that will be offered on the PC and home console on October 30 in North America and on November 1 in Europe.
