Need for Speed: Most Wanted is the biggest racing release of the year and the latest promotional effort for the game is an interview with VG247 that featured Alex Ward, who is the creative director working at Criterion Games on the title.

The interview offers details on the overall vision for the game, which is focused on creating a deep open-world city to explore and on offering many opportunities to compete against friends via an improved social structure.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is set to use the Frostbite 2 engine and will make solid use of the physics element of the game to create a quick and deep experience, with a solid handling model and a numb of impressively built vehicles.

Despite the name, the new Need for Speed title seems closer to the core concepts of the Burnout franchise that Criterion has worked on prior to its collaboration with Electronic Arts.
