Need For Speed World, the online, free to play racing video game from Electronic Arts, has just revealed its newest community event, in honor of the famous Oktoberfest German holiday, complete with interesting prizes offered by PC peripheral company Logitech.

This new event is the second one in the short history of NFS World, and, according to EA, won't be the last.

Players who drive their car over to the Camden area, specifically the boardwalk, will be treated with "posters of the pretzel girls, pretzel wagon smackables, giant pretzel inflatables" as well as many other things.

The Oktoberfest event has already started last weekend, on September 18th, and will continue until October 2nd, so virtual drivers can really enjoy the revamped area in the online racing game.

Besides adding a new look to the Camden area, the Oktoberfest event will also add a new race, a circuit one to be specific, entitled "Welcome To Oktoberfest".

Players will be able to compete in the aforementioned event, to see who can post the fastest total race time.

Three car classes are available for selection in the "Welcome To Oktoberfest" event, including tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3.

Charts will be made for each tier, and will award the best drivers with exclusive prizes from Logitech.

The fastest driver with a tier 1 car will win a Logitech MX 518 Optical Gaming Mouse, while the fastest with a tier 2 car will win a G15 Gaming Keyboard.

The most successful driver in a tier 3 car will win the grand prize, a Logitech Driving Force GT PC Racing Wheel, which, hopefully, he will use to continue dominating Need For Speed World.

The new Oktoberfest community event couldn't have come at a better time, as EA has just raised Need For Speed World's previous level limit, which prevented players who didn't pay anything from passing level 10.

Now, after achieving over 1 million registered players, NFS World is completely free to play and offers, besides racing, some interesting prizes in this new community event.
