After Need For Speed Underground was sold in 15 million copies world wide, Electronic Arts decided it's time for a new title.
The new game from the Need For Speed series will be added the syntagma Most Wanted and its development will be carried out by EA Canada.
Similar to the Underground, the new game will focus on illegal races, only this time, the police will also join the race.
Therefore, the will have to win the race and avoid arresting.
Racing with the police is not only for adrenaline, but will also increase the player's reputation. The more illegalities he does and gets unpunished, the more his name will be respected and he will climb up the Black List, until he becomes the most wanted driver.
Unlike Need For Speed Undeground, where the head-to-head races were less important, Need for Speed Most Wanted will focus on races between two drivers.
Electronic Arts promises a new gameplay, new tuning options, super cars, and all the ingredients that contributed to the series' success.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted will have a version for every console, and although EA didn't announce any launching date, it seems the game will be released in November this year.
Until then, Electronic Arts invites the players to join the Need for Speed Most Wanted Custom Car Vinyl Design Contest; more details on www.needforspeed.com
