Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, easily one of the most anticipated racing games of the year, besides PlayStation 3 exclusive Gran Turismo, has just received three new gameplay videos, which showcase the Autolog Recommends feature.

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is EA's big bet on fully reinvigorating the racing video game franchise, and is currently being developed by Criterion Studios, the team that brought us the excellent Burnout racing franchise in the past.

The game, like its subtitle promises, will bring back the police presence to the racing franchise, and allow players to either play as cops or as the regular illegal street racers.

If that wasn't enough to convince you to already pre-order the game, Criterion has just presented three special videos, all designed to showcase the Autolog Recommends features from the upcoming racing game.

Basically Autolog will be the online multiplayer mode for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, and will inform players about the performances of the friends, and how they stack up against the player's own lap times and achievements.

More importantly, however, Autolog will allow grudge matches and one on one races to be held, and the winner will be posted on the "Speed Wall" of both the players, letting others know about their performance or failure.

In the first video, we have a race is in full pursuit but the police decides to drop in and start crashing into the illegal racers.

We also get to see that nighttime racing will be included in the game and, if we take Criterion's word that this is all in-game footage, it will look awesome.

The second video shows a typical race, and showcases how you can crash into your rivals, just like in previous Burnout titles.

Last but not least, the third one shows an illegal race from the perspective of a cop, which uses all of the tools he has to take down each racer.

From ramming into their cars to deploying spike strips or even summoning the police helicopter, all of the arsenal is featured in the footage below.

Check out all of the videos and then share your thoughts about the upcoming Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, set to be released on November 16, in North America, and November 19, in Europe.
