A brand new patch has been released for the console versions of Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, taking the game up to version 1.02 and hints at the addition of brand new downloadable content.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit has been a best seller for Electronic Arts, its publisher, and thoroughly boosted the NFS franchise back into the mainstream market.

The title already received a patch last year, which brought three new cars as a bonus, and now the second patch, 1.02, packs some hints about two new downloadable car packs.

First off, let's start with the fixes the update brings to the game, which you can check out below.

- Fixed various issue to do with players getting stuck on loading after joining online games at specific times. - Online trial thank you screen appears if the user looses the connection during boot flow on the online pass screen - Fixed an issue with road block placement on Coral Bay Drive in "Highway Battle" event - Fixed various issues with the number of snapshot/dreamshots taken displaying incorrectly. - As well an issue where the player was messaged that they could take no more photos when they had not reached the limit.

When you start up the game and are connected to the Internet, you'll automatically download the patch that weighs in at 318MB.

But what's even more important is that the update also brings new trophies and achievements that hint at two new DLC car packs as well as new game modes for the multiplayer portion of the racing game.

According to them, NFS: Hot Pursuit is set to receive a Porsche pack, which includes the Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche 959 and the Porsche 911 Speedster, as well as a Lamborghini pack, with the Lamborghini Countach, Diablo and Sesto Elemento.

The two new multiplayer game modes are supposedly called All against All and Most Wanted.

No official statements have arrived from EA or Criterion Games, the developer of the Hot Pursuit title, so expect more details about this possible DLC at a later time.
