Video game developer Turbo Tape Games and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced that their nautically focused wargame Naval War: Arctic Circle will be launched exclusively on the PC on April 10, offered on the GamersGate digital distribution service and via retail stores.

Naval War: Arctic Circle imagines a world that is dangerously short on carbon fuels and a conflict brewing between the forces of a diminished NATO and a resurgent Russia over control of the now open Nortwest Passage.

Players will be able to control a variety of military hardware designed for sea battles, from submarines to high speed jet fighters, as they try to outthink and outmaneuver enemy forces.

The game offers a campaign for both the Russian forces and the NATO forces and players will also be able to engage each other in multiplayer matches.

The development team has paid special attention to simulating the various ships, weapons systems and aircraft that are included, making them as close as possible to the real world in terms of design and capabilities.
