Scuba diving is popular among many people mostly because of the unique views it can offer on the amazing underwater fauna and flora found in some parts of the world. In addition to that, it provides the best chance to capture amazing images of the underwater life if, of course, you have a camera that can be submerged.

Nowadays, there are many camera manufacturers that offer waterproof camera models, but most of them can't support high pressure when submerged at a greater depth. If you are an avid scuba diver and you want to take your favorite camera with you, the best solution is to invest in a professional underwater housing.

Nauticam is a US-based camera underwater housing manufacturer that offers various solutions compatible with a wide range of digital cameras, from DSLRs and medium format to mirrorless can compact camera models.

After recently unveiling the NA-EM1 housing especially designed for Olympus' OM-D E-M1 mirrorless camera, Nauticam announced in a recent press release the availability of a new underwater housing (NA-G16) that perfectly fits the Canon PowerShot G16 digital camera.

The case is made out of rugged machined aircraft-grade aluminum and comes with a secure locking rotational latch, which allows you to submerge your G16 camera up to 100m (328 ft). Moreover, all the controls found on the housing are clearly labeled and placed ergonomically to take advantage of Canon's easy to use control set.

A dedicated record button can also be found on the housing, allowing you to quickly access video functions and start recording the amazing underwater life.

The NA-G16 also comes with a 67mm port thread designed to accommodate various wet lenses like the Inon UWL-S100 ZM80 Wide Conversion lens that provides a 100° FOV at a 80mm focal length, making it ideal for wide angle shots.
