Naughty Dog tends to keep quiet about its own video games before launch, but some of the developers working on the Remastered version of The Last of Us are keen to get players interested in the title and say that the new PlayStation 4 focused version looks like it was natively developed for the Sony-made next-gen console.

Benson Russell, a senior game designer at the studio, says that he has been playing the title for a while now and that he is impressed with the quality of the experience and the improved graphics that the team has created.

On this Twitter feed, the game creator states that, “Testing #TheLastOfUsRemastered, holy cow it looks like it was originally created for the #PS4. One of the best next-gen titles I've seen.”

Some fans have called the position biased, but Russell says that the jump from the older PS3 to the new hardware is impressive and all fans of The Last of Us should experience it.

Quentin Cobb, another developer who is focused on the multiplayer of the title, adds, “MP looks and feels incredible on the PS4 at 60 FPS.”

The Last of Us: Remastered will be launched on the Sony next-gen platform on July 29 of this year and will cost gamers 49.99 dollars or Euro.

The package will include all the downloadable content that was ever delivered for the game, including new maps and weapons for multiplayer and the Left Behind story chapter for single player.

At the same time, Naughty Dog is fixing a variety of smaller issues with the game in order to make sure that fans get the definitive experience if they pick up the new version.

Amazon France has also recently leaked info about a special bundle for the PlayStation 4, which will include The Last of Us: Remastered, but Sony has shared no info on it and it is unclear whether it will be offered in the United States as well as in Europe.

The company has also announced that it is cutting the price of the game from 60 dollars or Euro and all those who have pre-ordered the title already will get a refund.

Naughty Dog is at the moment working on a new Uncharted experience, called A Thief’s End, which will also be offered on the PlayStation 4 and the studio is exploring a new secret project for the Sony home console.
