14 DAY TRIAL // The National Geographic Society is extremely proud to release National Geographic Today, a free iPad app that brings you the best of the magazine’s daily offerings, including news, videos, quizzes, articles, and awe-inspiring photography.
Users get daily highlights and updates, and they’ll be able to catch up on the last seven days, as well as to share their favorite articles and photos on Twitter and Facebook. There’s an option to save most of the content (such as photos as wallpapers) for offline viewing / reading.
Giving Fotopedia a run for its money, National Geographic Today is located in the Education category on the iTunes App Store and works only with the iPad.
It supports all versions of Apple’s tablet computer and requires iOS 5.0 or later.
