Because yesterday was April Fools’ Day, the producers and staff of NBC’s The Today Show made sure they also got to pull a few pranks of their own and, as the videos below will confirm, Natalie Morales fell for two of them.

First off, Natalie was tricked into sitting in a chair that was actually a person disguised as a chair. Obviously, she freaked out a bit but she was also terribly amused.

Secondly, the producers had two improv actors (who are really husband and wife) invited on the set, posing as two lovers who were standing outside holding a big “We <3 Today” sign.

He then got down to one knee and proposed to the woman, saying he wanted to make her day (which was also her birthday) even better.

Morales and guest Martha Stewart were all like, “awww,” so you can imagine their shock when she started saying something about “not wanting to do this right now.”

Check it out.
