This is the second cyberattack aimed at the bank's systems in December

Over the weekend, customers of the National Westminster Bank (NatWest), which is part of The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), were unable to access online banking services due to a distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack launched against the financial institution’s website.

The bank’s representatives have assured everyone that “at no time was there any risk to customers.”

“We have taken the appropriate action to restore the affected web sites,” they’ve stated.

However, some customers say that they’re fed up with all the problems experienced by NatWest over the past period so they’ve decided to switch banks.

This is the second time the NatWest website is hit by a DDOS attack in December. In addition to the cyberattack, the company’s systems suffered an outage earlier this month due to an IT system failure.
