Two staffers at the Richard Childress Racing Nascar team have been arrested over provoking an altercation with driver Nelson Piquet Jr.

The dispute follows a confrontation between Piquet Jr. and RCR's Brian Scott, which has been caught on camera after a Nascar event.

None of the drivers has been injured, and each is interviewed describing how the fight was started by the other driver.

Piquet Jr. basically tells the reporter that Scott is upset because of losing, as he has been fair with other drivers, despite being aggressive on the track.

"When I went to talk to him, he just pushed and shoved me and then kicked me below the belt. [...] It's just a chicken move," Scott argues.

Two of his crew members, 50-year-old Michael Searce and 35-year-old Thomas Costello, have reportedly ambushed a group of people including Piquet in the motorhome area. A brawl followed, but the driver was not injured during the incident.

Police have booked both crewmen under misdemeanor charges, releasing them soon after, Jalopnik reports.
