Naruto: Ninja Destiny to Bring Ninja Combat to the DS

- 3D fighting game comes to your Nintendo console

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

In the Village Hidden in the Leaves, Naruto Uzumaki, the ninja in training that wants to become the best ninja in history but cares more about pranks and other not so ninja related stuff, everything seems possible. This is the (very) compressed story of the anime series Naruto, the same that inspired many games up to date and it still has the potential to create even
more.

A new Naruto title will join the "family", Ninja Destiny, the first ever 3D fighting game based on the animated series. So if you ever wanted to see the Naruto characters fighting against each other on the portable Nintendo console, now is your chance. Players will have to use both screens and they will definitely enjoy this high energy combat sim, the top screen being used for the combat itself while power ups can be used on the touch screen.

"We've listened to the fans and made a slew of improvements to the Japanese original, including a much faster frame rate, additional characters, and never-before-seen content," said Laura Yoshioka, director, consumer software of Tomy Corporation. "Through the innovative use of the dual displays and touch screens, Naruto: Ninja Destiny will bring the series' iconic battles to players in a way that is only possible on the DS."

So, starting this February, when the game is scheduled to be launched, players will be able to take their ninja battles on the road. Naruto: Ninja Destiny promises to bring an unique gameplay featuring trademark ninja moves and the cinematic special techniques of the Naruto world. All you aspiring ninjas out there will be able to fight against 16 different characters, using an intuitive, yet hard to master combat system. The game uses storylines of all the 140 episodes in the animated series and offers, together with the single player story and versus mode, wireless multiplayer combat. Everything starting this February.
