Naomi Watts, the star from King Kong,, might be the next Bond girl.

The producers want her in the next Bond movie as they have been thrilled with her performance in King Kong.

The next 007 film 'Casino Royale' will come out in 2006.
Eon Productions, the team behind the movie, were so impressed by Naomi's portrayal of Anne Darrow they now want her to star opposite Daniel Craig - the one that will replace Pierce Brosnan as the next James Bond.

Watts has already been contacted and offered the role of Russian vixen Vesper. She has apparently also been asked to do a screen test for the part next year.

Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie have all so far refused to appear in the new movie. This made the production team's task -to find a top female star for the movie very difficult. The reason many actresses are turning down the offer is that stars such as Halle Berry and Terry Hatcher suffered a dip in their careers immediately after playing the respective parts in Bond movies.

It is not absolutely sure that Naomi will accept the role either.
Friends of the 37-year-old star believe she may turn down the offer because she fears being typecast.

Producers said that the new Bond movie will be faithful to author Ian Fleming's book, but fans should expect to see a more updated version of 007 in the new movie.
