14 DAY TRIAL // Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been dating Russian billionaire Vladimir Doronin since 2008, but things have taken a turn for the worse recently. They are “on a break,” inside sources reveal for Page Six.
Though their relationship was of the on and off variety, sources close to the (former) couple reveal for the publication that a reconciliation is highly unlikely at this point.
“Doronin was noticeably not with Campbell as she attended numerous Oscar parties in Hollywood in February. The couple were last seen together on the beach in Miami in March,“ Page Six writes.
“Naomi and Vlad have broken up, and he’s been out partying in New York,” says a spy, adding that he’s already been seen “flirting with a blonde,” which could mean he’s moving on from Naomi.
Then again, other sources point out, they took breaks before and they got back together afterwards.
“Naomi and Vlad have a complex relationship, and sometimes break up and make up,” says a second tipster.
“In many ways their relationship is like a business arrangement. Naomi brings glamor to his hotels and properties, and he treats her extremely well. But they spend a lot of time apart due to work commitments,” adds the spy.
Even though he’s been officially linked with the model for years, Doronin is actually married. He and his wife Ekaterina are still legally married, but word online has it that they separated sometime around 1998.
The fact that he never filed for divorce is now being considered the real reason for the split by celebrity pundits: in one of her older interviews, Naomi admitted that she wanted to see herself a bride, walking to the altar to become his wife.
Page Six tried to contact Campbell or Doronin’s publicists for comment on their relationship but neither was immediately available.
