Naomi Campbell should marry Collin Farrel and we'd have a match made in heaven. And believe me, I've used the word "match" intentionally here, seeing that the tantrum-throwing model needs someone equally expert at disrupting the happy, peaceful lives of the people around them with ego-inflated scandals. Or she could try Justin Timberlake - she could tell and stamp and scream, he's well-known for spitting on fans and swearing, yes, that could work, too.
The fact is, even in today's world, being a former world-famous supermodel is no guarantee for always getting preferential treatment. And yet Naomi doesn't disappoint us and is still trying her best to make the world a...well, louder place. The model threw a huge tantrum at an airport yesterday after she wasn't allowed to board her flight.
I think that whoever gave her anger management therapy should be either fired or given some extra classes of a different kind. Campbell arrived in a chauffeur driven car at 13.29 at London's Heathrow airport, even though her flight to New York was due to take off at 13.40, and demanded (read that yelled her head off) to be let on. "You have to let me on. Come on!", onlookers quote her as whining. British Airways staff told the model that she was too late but did offer to allow her on board without her luggage and send her bags on a later flight.
Anyone in her condition would have been thrilled with this offer, but as we all know, Naomi is not "anyone". "You are joking. You are always losing bags and I don't trust you with mine in a million years. I can't believe you won't allow ME on your flight. What is this? Who must I speak to?", she yelled.
"When BA staff explained she was too late, she exploded and stamped her foot. There was a tirade of abuse", a source told the Daily Mirror. Well, what did you expect? I mean, I'm sure that after a lifetime of preferential treatment, it's difficult to understand that delaying a plane full of passengers for one supermodel (over-inflated ego included) is not something that's done on a regular basis. As always, her representatives denied there was any problem. "She is in the air at the moment, traveling to New York on business. We are not aware of any incident", they said. Yes, well, I suppose they'd say the same thing even if Naomi went on a rampage in a crowded airport armed with a shotgun and a baseball bat. In the end, it's all a matter of perspective.
