Naomi Campbell's Hair Disaster

For most of us, fiery supermodel Naomi Campbell is a symbol of everything ultra-fashionable: designer clothes and shoes, trendy accessories and an overall impeccable look from head to toe: nothing unusual so far - we are, after all, talking about a world-famous supermodel who has fashionable friends and travels the world attending high-profile events for a living. Of course, we're all familiar with Naomi's long history of violence and her anger-management problems are no longer a secret to anyone -
however, when it comes to looks and grooming, Naomi has almost always looked picture perfect. A recent wild night of partying in Cannes just changed all that.

The model celebrated her 38th birthday last week and was thrown a birthday party at club Baoli in Port Canto by celebrated designers Domenico Dolce and Stefan Gabbana, who also acted as hosts to the other celebrities who attended, which included Naomi's equally feisty ex-boyfriend P-Diddy. Although she started the evening looking absolutely stunning in a D&G silver glitter mini party frock, Naomi left the club at three in the morning barely able to walk and had to be half-carried out by her friends.

The embarrassing part however came when the eagerly waiting photographers snapped several photos of Naomi's head: the model's long hair extensions hung limply around her face, exposing a rather wide parting and what looked like a bald patch.

Naomi's rather risqué fashion blunder - or her major "bad hair night" disaster - goes to show that in the end, as deceiving as they may be, appearances can only be kept up for that long. When a world famous supermodel goes from the ultimate party chic to a bald-looking drunk barely able to stand up straight, you can't help agreeing that the "star" status - as over-hyped as it may be - does impose certain rules on those fortunate enough to enjoy it. The impeccable appearance ranks high up there, along with "money" and "fame" - for all the obvious reasons. However, it looks like someone forgot to let Naomi know that a supermodel with a bald patch may be only human, but it definitely will not be treated as such by her peers.

Its a shame that well this is causing such news when there are more important things to discuss. This is not such a big issue. Ask all those black women out there to show you their real hair and you will be shocked. Its just so unfortunate that black women with stunted growth curly hair wanna look more feminine with long natural hair and thanks to wigs and weaves they achieve that. so no one should waste their time talking bout this because nothing you can do about it. unless you want em looking like boys.

Aw, please, they don't want the attention and/or comments, they should stay home! I'm sure she wouldn't give you the time of day so why should you care what is said about her.

Your comments are inaccurate and in some ways, just straight up ignorant. Many black women wear weaves, but take care of their hair. Also, without weaves, black women do not look like boys. You need to get a clue.

your comment is so stupid. it really says more about you than about the people you attempt to insult. tsk tsk. in case you were wondering it says 1. you're a racist and believe black women look like men or rather, any woman that has naturally curly thick hair does. 2. your stupid and ignorant to truth. Black women don't all have short hair that doesn't grow. dum dum. you can't help yourself though. you're parents are probably white trash too. Its only natural for you to be raised that way. Our natural hair grows quite long, as a matter of fact. over processing, chemical burnouts and stress are what damages hair. that is true for ANY race and is a major cause of ETHNIC women hair damage. 3. black women with short hair that is well taken care of are SEXY. we have a sexy that isn't defined by our hair. long or short we wear it well. and NATURAL for us will always be better than processed. It is when our hair is natural that our hair flourishes. Now If you would like to bring up why people attempt to buy wigs and weaves.. which white women (brittany spears, terry hatcher, 40,000 other celebs do) its for convenience. I can braid my hair and let it destress from constant pulling and burning with curling iron and still wear a sew in and not damage my hair. We don't want to be white. eww. But you could say that you may not like your own pallid, frogs belly complexion and attempt to be "ethnic" because you tan yourselves to resemble lobsters every 2 weeks. sound ignorant of me? if so its only because I feel like maybe this a comparison you could understand. obviously the latter isn't true.. and I assume the former isn't either so try not to judge people and make comments based on your biased opinions of races you find beneath you.
