Developed by Yanleks, NanoGalaxy is a colorful, connect-three puzzle game for iPhone and iPod touch that supports five simultaneous taps for dexterous players aiming for the highest score possible.

Pointed out by one of our Twitter followers, NanoGalaxy is not a new name in Apple’s iOS App Store, but somehow it didn’t get much attention.

[admark=1]We’re glad to help developer Yanleks out a bit by reporting that NanoGalaxy is as fun and addictive as the highest-rated puzzle games in Apple’s App Store.

It’s also completely free, not just a lite version, but a full game containing 6 animated characters to back the story, several movies, 60 levels on 3 planets, 10 scientific devices, 5 hidden surprises, real time hints, and a truly atmospheric soundtrack by Cosmic Spring.

The game’s plot goes as follows:

“A group of scientists developing new nanotechnology devices are secretly cooperating with aliens. Suddenly an oil platform explodes in the Gulf of Mexico and to make things worse, they have discovered an approaching asteroid headed directly towards Earth.”

In the game, players must connect three or more elements of the same kind to pop them as four alien beings create them and send them rolling down on conveyor belts.

As the video below shows, players can tap as many as five areas of the screen at once, something that developer Yanleks describes as 5 MultiTouch.

Updated to version 1.1 last month, NanoGalaxy now boasts improved game balance, and has a revised story.

Thanks Ann for pointing out the game to us, and be sure to let us know what else you find interesting in Apple’s App Store in the future.

For our part, we’ll keep feeding our Twitter stream with the newest additions to the App Store for you, and for your fellow iOS gamers.
