Just a matter of time before we end up developing "replicators"

Nanotechnology is a subject mostly encountered in science fiction movies, and a lot of them have had this subject as the main point of interest. And even though technological progresses have been made, I think we are still far from seeing this implemented into domains such as medicine, where it would be of most interest.

Samsung has given out some details regarding a new line of notebooks, this new generation includes a couple of models such as R70, R20 and Q45. This line is called "The Aura Edition" and helps users which like using notebooks outdoors, or even those who like using theirs in all sorts of occasions or places, like at the table while they eat.

The feature used is called Silver Nano Technology, and works by keeping the keyboard and the palm rest of the notebook bacteria free by sprinkling nano-sized silver ion powder on them. Such a feature comes as a useful tool for sloppy eaters, but can't actually help you in case of a "hot-coffee-dropped-on-keyboard" disaster.

The Samsung R20 is one of the first models to be released, featuring a 14.1-inch Widescreen TFT Samsung LCD monitor and ATI X1250 express card, followed by the 15.4-inch version, R70, with either Blu-ray or a HD DVD drive, HDMI connectivity, both expected in May. Q45 is the smallest of the three, with a 12.1-inch Widescreen, an NVIDIA 8400M graphics card, HSPDA connectivity and a 1.3 megapixel webcam, and we'll see it hit the markets in June.

The technical specifications for all of the models include Intel Core 2 Duo processors and Microsoft's Windows Vista. They also have a sleek black glossy finish.
