Nancy Drew Preparing Her DS Return

- Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society, the new iteration

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

The teen sleuth seems to have really enjoyed her first meeting with the Nintendo DS console called Nancy Drew: The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park so she decided to come back.
It also seems that she doesn't like anything short... in fact, it seems that "the longer, the better" is what our Nancy believes (when it comes to game titles, of course) since her next DS adventure will be called Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society. In other words, NDTMOTCBS. MMORPGs are little babies, as you can see.

Anyway, back to our sleuth queen. The new game will follow Nancy's quest to be accepted as a member of the Clue Bender Society, a group of the world’s greatest detectives. In order to do that, she has to solve a series of virtual challenges and mysteries before other 2 candidates. The twist comes when the secret tome containing the solutions to history’s greatest mysteries goes missing and the story turns real for Nancy and the candidates. Will you have what it takes to solve this great mystery? We say you do. There's no such game that can't be finished.

"The Nancy Drew brand is marked by a distinctive ‘snowballing’ of suspects, clues and danger as the teen detective works to solve the deepening mystery," said Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations, Majesco. "Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society delivers this signature intrigue while incorporating a host of compelling new interactive features that augment the Touch Screen experience."

This Nintendo DS sequel includes nine fresh chapters and a progressive increase of the quest difficulty, a cell phone for Nancy to keep updated all the time as well as the need to use the DS microphone to discover hidden clues. And the rest is the same old... mystery-solving teen. Everything scheduled for a summer 2008 release.
