Namco Museum DS Unlockables (DS)

- Different game version unlockables

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Namco Museum DS can easily be mistaken with Namco Museum, a collection of classic games released by Namco in the ‘80s (there are seven Namco Museum collections available and, to make things even harder for the gamers, some of these collections have been released on the Nintendo DS handheld console too).

Namco Museum DS was developed by Namco Bandai and
it features seven games: Mappy, Xevious, Galaga, Galaxian, Pac-Man, Dig Dug II and The Tower of Druaga. The title was released in 2007 in North America and Japan, hitting Europe in February 2008.

Alternate game versions
Go to the "Hardcore" settings for one of the following games. Select the "New" or "Super" version of that game and begin game play. Quit the game, and the "New" or "Super" version of that game will now appear at the arcade game selection menu. (Dig Dug II, Xevious, Tower Of Druaga, Galaga, Mappy, Pac-Man, Galaxian are the games that can be played with different versions. The port of Pac-Man VS. can only be played using DS Download Play).

Dig Dug II: Classic version
Select "Dig Dug II" at the "Arcade" menu. Tap the touch screen or press L + Start to display the menu. Select "Settings (2)" then go to "Hardcore Options". Tap "New Version" and change it to "Old Version". Return to the "Arcade" menu to access the classic version of Dig Dug II.

Xevious: Super version
Select "Xevious" at the "Arcade" menu. Tap the touch screen or press L + Start to display the menu. Select "Settings (2)" then go to "Hardcore Options". Tap "Xevious Version" and change it to "Super Xevious Version". Return to the "Arcade" menu and access the Super version of Xevious. The difference between the two versions is the difficulty.

Here is the Namco Museum DS in all its glory:
