Namco presents an all-new treatment of its classics as they debut on Sony's handheld platform. Namco Museum Battle Collection brings together many of Namco's arcade classics, taking full advantage of the PSP's wireless connectivity, allowing gamers and their friends to battle it out on these familiar venues. With classics like Pac-Man and Dig Dug, players will be able to battle their friends for bragging rights in the ultimate arcade multi-player game. This is a must-have title for every gaming
aficionado.
The compilation also contains four variants of several of Namco's more well-known properties, known as Arrangements. These games (Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga and New Rally-X) have an updated presentation and also introduce a number of new gameplay concepts to each arranged title. The games can also be turned onto their side and the size of the screen can be changed as well. The game also takes advantage of the game sharing feature of the PlayStation Portable and allows other players without the game to play any of the original games' first levels.
Namco Museum Battle Collection contains the following games (arangements): Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Rally-X. Each title has "Arrangement" as part of its name. However, these versions are unique to the Sony PlayStation Portable and should not be confused with the original set of Arrangements (which also included Xevious and Mappy) released in 1995 and 1996. Gameplay hints
Galaga Arrangement: Better upgrades: To get better upgrades let your ship get stolen, then let another steal your ship. Kill one, get the power-up, then kill the other bug. You will then get an ultra upgrade. Try using different bugs.
Galaga Arrangement: Ship select: Complete the game (the last level is level 6-5) to unlock ship selection in Free Play mode. This allows you to select a ship upgrade before starting a level.
