Video game publisher Namco Bandai has put up a new survey on its official Facebook page which asks fans to vote on one of the four new looks for Pac Man and decide on which platforms they would like the character to make an appearance in the future.

Those who take part in the survey are also asked to offer some demographic information about themselves, which is a strong hint that Namco Bandai is actively polling its player base in order to decide the future of Pac Man as a character.

Pac Man was first released in Japan in 1980 and that makes it one of the oldest intellectual properties in video gaming.

Namco Bandai has not used the character to its potential during the last few years, but it might once again prove a hit on mobile devices or as a small game on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live.
