Namco Bandai has just announced the immediate availability of the first Tamagotchi application for Android devices.

A clone of the “original virtual pet,” this application will challenge Android users to take care of their virtual animals, feed them and provide them with everything required for a pet in real life.

Sadly, the application has been released only for the United States and Canada, but hopefully developers will make it available in other countries as well.

Furthermore, Tamagotchi is only compatible with the following devices: Motorola DROID 3, Motorola DROID Bionic, Motorola Droid RAZR, ZTE X500, Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC EVO 4G, Sony Xperia arc S, Samsung Galaxy S III (blue), Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Nexus S and HTC Sensation 4G.

Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. 1.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices listed above. Check it out here.
