Namco Bandai has announced plans to bring Soul Calibur, the popular fighting game that gained massive attention on the Sega Dreamcast, to the iOS platform.

A 3D, weapons-based fighting game developed by Project Soul and produced by Namco, Soul Calibur will feature all of its original 19 fighters on the iPhone.

It will have several game modes, including arcade battle, time attack, survival, extra survival, practice and museum modes.

Time attack, survival and extra survival will be compatible with Game Center's Leader Boards, according to andriasang.com.

Soul Calibur will hit the iTunes App Store on January 19 as a universal app supporting iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch 4th generation and iPad 2. Pricing is yet to be disclosed.
