Sophia Loren was not the only one to lose some clothes and pose for the extra-special Pirelli Calendar. Among other actresses and supermodels was also Hilary Swank, who showed a much softer and sexier side in this year's edition of the calendar, titled 'A Bed and Five Stories'.

The concept behind the calendar is that it should and must never be sold to anyone. It dates back from 1964 and the 'Pirelli tradition' says that, each year, it is to be distributed to approximately 40,000 VIPs (politicians, actors, singers and other personalities) for free.

The women who grace its many pages each year come from as many different countries as possible and from opposite lines of work: from models, to actresses and singers. The 2007 issue features, alongside Sophia Loren and Hilary Swank, British actress Naomi Watts, Spanish Penelope Cruz and French actress Lou Doillon.
